Description

You will be provided with The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment workbook which can be filled in at your leisure. Learning materials are provided to you in form of an exemplar workbook and PowerPoint slides. Once completed your will be invited into our centre to meet your assessor this will include record of oral and/or written questioning.

Who is this course for?

The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment provides learners with an essential foundation in relevant matters of health and safety. It is suitable for individuals wanting to work in the construction industry and those already employed in the industry seeking to renew their knowledge in this area. The CSCS Green Card Individuals may submit an application for the CSCS Green Card by passing both the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification and CITB’s Operatives Health, Safety and Environment test within two years of applying for a new card.

Requirements

The minimum entry requirement is a good understanding of spoken and written English and we will carry out initial assessment of candidate’s skills and Knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.

Length of Course: Recommended 6-40 hours, depending on the learner

Career path

You could train on the job to become a qualified tradesperson or with experience, become a site supervisor, estimator or construction manager.
